In The Times this week our very own Lara Trinder was quoted on the issue of ISA's and workplace pensions. Here's what she said:
Lara Trinder, whose book-keeping service in Devon works with small companies, said that,
whatever the merits of the Lisa, the key issue of auto-enrolment was a lack of
understanding.
“I think that auto-enrolment has massive problems in itself. From my perspective,
employers don’t understand auto-enrolment and neither do employees,” she added.
For some low-paid workers, the sums they could save would be “barely enough to buy cat
food”, she said. “I don’t know if people will opt out of auto-enrolment in favour of Isas. I
just think people don’t understand pensions, but they do understand Isas.”
